Ms. Kate Devon

Ms. Devon taught Marketing, Psychology, and Algebra I last year at Notre Dame.  She’s expanded to teach more subjects this year as she’ll be providing instruction for the following classes: Psychology, Algebra I, Algebra IA, Algebra IB, and Math 8.  Although she has a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, she also has experience in mathematics.  Math happens to be her favorite subject despite being raised by English teachers (i.e., Ms. Thorne - AP English). 

In addition to teaching, Ms. Devon is famous around Notre Dame for the snack cabinet.  Students can grab something to tide them over so hunger isn’t distracting during learning - as long as they continue to clean up after themselves.  Occasionally, her 15-year-old miniature pinscher, Calzone (yes like the food!) comes for a visit. Calzone is an extra cheerleader at ND games as well! Ms. Devon loves basketball and March Madness is her favorite time of year. You can spot her keeping the book at ND boys’ basketball games this season, both home and away.
