Title:
Study Skills Coordinator/Teacher, Teacher Coach
Education:
LeMoyne College Bachelor of Arts Degree in English w/Minors in Education & Business

I graduated from LeMoyne College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with minors in Education and Business. For the next four years I was a stay home Mom with my sons Eric and Danny. In 1984 I secured my first teaching job at Bishop Grimes High School in Syracuse where I taught English 9, 10 and 11. After one year at Grimes I was hired by the Syracuse City School District where I taught English 7 for two years. After moving back to Elmira I taught English 9 and English 10 for the Elmira Heights Central School District for two years.
After we added Mollie and Emma to our family I worked part time for our family business, GHC, for the next twelve years. Luckily in 2000 I was drawn back into the world of education and began teaching again in Elmira Heights at Cohen Middle School teaching English 8 for three years. In 2003 I moved down to the high school where I taught English 10 and English 12 until retirement in 2020. I was blessed to work with students outside the classroom as a Class Advisor, National Honor Society Advisor and Key Club Advisor.
In 2021 I was invited by Head of School, Trish Mack , to join the ND staff and assist new teachers. Her wonderful invitation has filled a final puzzle piece to my retirement days. This school year I am thoroughly enjoying helping students in the Study Skills room and assisting new teachers who have joined the ND family. My years in education have been rewarding, and satisfying. I am hoping to be a front row spectator to the strong spiritual and academic influence with which ND students continue to be blessed.
