Ms. Marianna Raho

Ms. Raho joins Notre Dame High School as the Choir and Theater Director, bringing twenty-five years of experience as a music and theater educator, conductor, vocal coach, director, and performing artist. Her career has taken her from New York and Florida to the United Kingdom, where she has worked with students and performers of all ages. She has served as a voice and piano teacher, choir conductor, drama teacher, theater director, and acting head of drama at schools and performing arts organizations throughout the United States and England.

She has also founded and led Generations of Sound and Roots & Wings Performing Arts Academy, directed productions with ELMIRA LITTLE THEATRE, Morgan Opera House, and several dramatic societies in the United Kingdom, and performed as a soloist and ensemble member at the Naples Dinner Theatre and the Boca Raton Supper Club.  She has also been cast in numerous productions with ELMIRA LITTLE THEATRE  and was also in the Mark Twain drama with a recurring role for several years. Her extensive experience reflects a lifelong dedication to music, theater, and the transformative power of the performing arts.

For Ms. Raho, theater and music provide a powerful combination for developing essential life skills, including confidence, empathy, and a sense of global citizenship. Her student-centered approach combines high-caliber vocal instruction with strong acting and storytelling skills, allowing students of all experience levels to develop technical excellence while taking pride in mastering new skills and abilities. She is motivated by the opportunity to inspire students and foster a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. Most rewarding to her is watching a student discover abilities they never knew they had, take chances, and grow in confidence. She is committed to creating a supportive, high-energy environment that encourages technical mastery, creative confidence, and artistic dedication.

Outside of the classroom and rehearsal space, Ms. Raho enjoys big dogs, chocolate, the beach, the woods, mountains, and almost all kinds of weather. She also admits that
