
Mr. Vincent Pollaro
Director of Middle School, International Student Director, and Science Dept. Chair
Mr. Pollaro earned his Master's Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix and a second Master's Degree in Special Education from Edinboro University. His teaching career began at Wellsboro High School, where he worked in the Learning Support Department, collaborating with both students and teachers. He then moved to Trinity Lutheran School, where he taught third grade, before accepting a position at All Saints Academy, where he also taught third grade.
In January 2023, Mr. Pollaro joined the Notre Dame Family, where he taught 7th-grade Life Science, 8th-grade Physical Science, and Regents Earth Science. As of 2025, he holds the roles of Middle School Director and Director of International Students. In his position as Middle School Director, Mr. Pollaro oversees the middle school and students in grades 7-9. As Director of International Students, he manages recruitment, dorm life, well-being, and activities for international students, all with the invaluable support of his amazing team, which helps both him and the students living in the dormitory.
Mr. Pollaro currently resides in Wellsboro, PA, with his wife of 23 years, their two children, three dogs, and four cats. In his free time, he enjoys traveling. Last year, he organized a non-school-sponsored trip to Iceland during Presidents' Week that was open to Notre Dame students. He is also organizing a similar trip to Greece for Notre Dame students, scheduled for August 2026.
