Dr. Paul Ogutu bio
Dr. Paul Ogutu was born and raised in Kenya before moving to the US in 2010. He attended Kenyatta University where he graduated with a First Class HonorsBachelor Education Science (Chemistry and Education Major, and a minor in Math). He was a tutor and teacher for high school math and chemistry for 7 years, teaching both IB and IGCSE curriculum. He also attended Binghamton University for graduate school where he graduated with a PhD in Chemistry in December 2015. He was awarded Lois D. Mackey Award for outstanding first-year teaching assistant in general chemistry (Spring 2011) and Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching (Spring 2016). He has 5 publications in major chemistry journals for his graduate work. Paul is excited to contribute his skills, knowledge and experience to the shape the life and dreams of students at Notre Dame School. Besides teaching, Paul loves hiking, travelling and reading christian literature.
