Maryleaf Student Newspaper
Notre Dame's student-run newspaper, The Maryleaf, is staffed by students in grades 10-12. Headed by an editor and a junior editor, the staff brainstorms ideas for the paper's articles in monthly meetings and the writers, photographers, and cartoonists submit their work to the editors by the deadline for inclusion of the paper.
The articles include everything from recaps of school dances and fundraisers, welcome articles for incoming faculty and staff, to articles about wider world issues such as poor students achievement, and school violence and terrorism. Close to holidays there are often informative and entertaining articles that explain world holiday traditions and the origins of different holidays. The Maryleaf provides a fun and professional way for students to practice important skills and share their work with the Notre Dame Community.
