Krista is a New York State certified music educator of 24 years. She is in her fourth year of teaching at Notre Dame High School, where she currently serves as Music Department Chair, directs all of the vocal ensembles (Concert Choir, Select Choir, and Junior High Chorus), gives group voice lessons and individual coaching sessions for the NYSSMA Solo and Area All State Chorus festival, and is the advisor for the new Tri-M Music Honor Society. In addition to teaching, Krista has worked as a musical theater director, professional accompanist, NYSSMA All-State adjudicator, and private studio teacher in piano and voice in the Ithaca area. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, a Master’s Degree from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and has completed all but her dissertation towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education at Boston University.
Krista is the proud parent of two college students who now live in NYC and currently lives in Ithaca, NY with her husband, two cats and a pug. Her favorite activities include attending live local music and theater events, sampling all the vegetarian restaurants in the area, singing in a gospel choir, and celebrating life with family and friends.
Mrs. Easton's regular make-up hours for missed classes are available during the last half of 5th period lunch on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Otherwise, students may see Mrs. Easton during these office hours (by private appointment only): at 3:00pm or at 8:00am.
